Margie: I'm going to say something you won't like.
Don: Go ahead
Margie: I mean, something really bad. Like you should be sitting down for this
Don Sits
Margie: I was at the doctor last week and they found a lump in my left breast. They biopsied it, and it's
stage 4 breast cancer.
Don: And you waited a week to tell me this.
Margie: Well you were so busy with work, I didn't want to...
Don: No you should have told me. I could have gone to the doctor with you.
I've got so many questions and I know you don't have the answers.
Margie: We can go slow, I have pamphlets (she begins pulling them out of her purse) and we
can talk about this.
Don: No. You're going to talk to me, forget the pamphlets.
Margie: Sure thing. I am here for you.
Don: I am here for you. In any way that you need, that goes without saying but...Stage 4, that
sounds advanced. How Bad is it? How long do you have?
Margie: You're right it is advanced. The plan is to remove the tumor next week, and then an aggressive set of chemo therapy.
Don: But Stage 4?
Margie: I know it sounds daunting. It is. This isn't going to be simple.
Don: Could I have your record collection?
Margie: Really Don??! I can't believe you,
Don: You hardly listen to one a year. I, on the other hand am an avid listener. Half the time I'm over here it's for music.
Margie: Or Food.
Don: Look on the bright side. You'll lose all that weight you gained the last time you went to your parents.
They Laugh
Margie: Want to go wig shopping with me?
Don: Sure thing. I just want you to know that I love you and I'll be here every step of the way.
Margie: Your damn right you will be. What else is a twin brother for?
Don: Go ahead
